THINGS TO CONSIDER...

Arranging a golf break can be quite a challenge, especially if you’re organising a large group with lots of different preferences and requirements. It’s worth considering some of the following things when planning your trip. We can help you every step of the way when it comes to planning and organising your trip.

Do you want a quiet, more rural location or would you prefer to be nearer to towns and cities for night-life and entertainment? Are you happy to drive further for better golf courses or do you want to keep driving to a minimum?

Do you prefer warmer weather or, are you one of the hardy souls who’ll play in any weather? Golf courses tend to lower their rates in the cooler seasons. Remember, tee times can be more difficult to come by in the summer months, on weekends and during competition season.

The most important part of any golf break! Carefully consider the courses you want to play and your location before making your final decision. Have realistic expectations of what type of break you can achieve and remember that some of the more expensive golf courses can eat up a large portion of your budget.

Consider how long it will take you to drive to your chosen courses, particularly on the first and last days of your break and also take into account sunset times. Think about how long it will take your group to finish a standard round of golf and be realistic with your tee time requests. Remember that it’s often more difficult to obtain tee times at some courses during certain seasons and particularly on weekends.

Consider the ability levels of your fellow golfers. Select your courses carefully to ensure that everyone in your group has an enjoyable golf break. If the courses you choose are too challenging for some of the group, it can be a long day!

The average golf break tends to be booked up to 6-months in advance and a lot of things can change over time. As organiser, be prepared to alter your booking accordingly when circumstances change. We’ll help you every step of the way. Please ensure your check our Terms & Conditions page for details regarding cancellations and changes.
